When UVC’s became available in LED form, Metro Marine devised and patented a unique and innovative system utilizing UVC LEDs to keep the lenses on our fixtures crystal clear. The aggressive growth (biofouling) that attaches to the clear lenses in front of the LEDs blocks the light, and causes the fixtures to overheat. We have eliminated this problem.

Our patented UVC technology stops biofouling from forming on the lenses of our fixtures. Our patented Assembly Method prevents condensation from forming inside our fixtures. These two problems – biofouling and condensation – are the two most critical issues causing underwater lighting fixtures to fail.
We assemble our fixtures in a Class 1000 Clean Room, using a patented process where we replace all vapor inside our fixtures with clean, dry N2, guaranteeing that our fixtures will remain free from condensation. The condensation that is found in many underwater marine lighting fixtures causes internal corrosion which can destroy underwater lighting fixtures from the inside-out.

Full Spectrum Color Mixing
Most full color fixtures use RGB LEDs and White LEDs operating separately. Our F-Series RGBW Underwater fixtures have true Dynamic Full Spectrum color control, resulting in higher-quality whites and richer color blends than are possible with traditional RGB+White underwater LED fixtures.
