Underwater lighting built for docks, pilings, and seawalls, not just hulls
Marina Dock Age has included the Metro Marine F-Series in its Product Focus for the July/August 2026 issue, covering software and technology for marina operators. The listing also ran in Marina Dock Age Online and the Weekly Waterfront Wire.
Most underwater lighting is designed around vessels. The F-Series was built to handle fixed structures as well, where fixtures stay in the water year-round and maintenance access is harder than it is on a boat that comes out of the water each season.
That is where the two core technologies matter most. UVC LEDs inside the housing prevent marine growth from attaching to the lens, so there are no antifouling coatings to reapply and no seasonal scraping of fixtures mounted below a dock. A patented dry gas assembly process removes all vapor from the housing and replaces it with clean, dry nitrogen, eliminating the condensation and corrosion that shorten fixture life in permanent installations.
F-Series fixtures are rated for mounting at depths up to 15 feet below the surface in watertight aluminum-bronze housings with silicon bronze hardware, available in round and elongated. They are in use on docks, pilings, seawalls, marina facilities, and fountains, in addition to yachts from 32 to 100 feet.
